AAT Accounting Level 2 Certificate (P/T)

This course can be studied as part of a Modern Apprenticeship programme.  The young people eligible and their employers/placement are not required to pay any training or assessment costs.

Students can chose to study on day release or as evening student on two evenings per week.  Both options run for 34 weeks.


Mandatory Units

  • BA I - Basic Accounting 1                  
  • BA II - Basic Accounting II                  
  • WEAF - Working Effectively in Accounting and Finance  
  • BCCG - Basic Costing                   
  • CMPA - Computerised Accounting               
  • PEAF - Professional Ethics in Accounting and Finance   

Apprenticeship students may also have to complete Functional Skills.
 


How will I be assessed?

  • Computer-based assessment and AAT e-delivered project

What do I need?

There are no strict demands to prior qualifications needed to enter the course.  However, there is a substantial amount of written work to do in addition to the number work, so we expect the prospective students to have 5 GCSEs at grade C or above and these must include English Language and Maths.  All students interested in this level are required to have an interview before enrolment.


Where can it take me?

Successful completion will allow you to progress to AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.

  • AAT Student annual membership fee - £74 (payable directly to AAT)
  • Student admission fee (for first time registration with AAT) - £34 (payable directly to AAT
  • Assessment fees - £30 for each of the 6 computer-based assessments (payable to the College in advance of date of assessment)
