AAT Accounting Level 4 Diploma (P/T)

The course can be studies as a part of an Apprenticeship programme.  The young people eligible and their employers are not required to pay training or assessment costs.  

Students have a choice of mode of study:

  • completion in one year as: day release or two evenings per week or afternoon/evening
  • completion over 2 years as: one evening per week or morning or afternoon only


Mandatory Units
FNST - Financial statements        
BGT - Budgeting            
FNPT - Financial performance        
ICAS - Internal control and accounting systems    

Optional Units – 2 from 4
CRMC - Credit management and control
PTX - Personal tax            
BTX - Business tax            
EXA - External auditing


How will I be assessed?

  • Computer-based assessment

What do I need?

  • AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting, UK Degree in Accounting or part-qualification of one of the AAT’s sponsoring bodies

Anything else?

In some cases we allow students to enrol for individual units. If a candidate does not want to complete the level in one year, (s)he should discuss this with the course leader.

Additional costs

  • AAT Student annual membership fee - £74 (payable directly to AAT)
  • Student admission fee (if applicable) -£34 (payable directly to AAT)
  • Assessment fee - £35 per assessment (6) (payable to the college in advance of the sitting of each paper)
  • Course books

  • Pen, paper and calculator
