Accounts Advanced Apprenticeship
This advanced apprenticeship programme will suit you if you currently work in an accounts environment. Generally, you will build on your existing accounting skills to complete the NVQ Level 3 qualification.
What will I learn?
Unit 5 - Maintaining financial records and preparing accounts
- Entering financial information and preparing final accounts for sole traders and partnerships
- Assessment - skills test and exam
Unit 6 - Recording and evaluating costs and revenue
- Calculate the cost of production in order to guide management decisions
- Assessment - skills test and exam
Unit 7 - Preparing reports and returns
- Reporting results to internal and external bodies and completion of VAT return for companies
- Assessment - skills test
Unit 21 - Working with Computers (if not completed on Level 2)
- Includes computerised accounts
- Assessment - skills test
Unit 22 - Contribute to the Maintenance of a Healthy, Safe and Productive Working Environment (if not completed on Level 2)
- Employees’ responsibility for keeping up health and safety in a workplace

What do I need?
- You are usually expected to have previously completed the NVQ Level 2 Accounts Apprenticeship
Where can it take me?
- Studying - progression to an NVQ4 or Higher Education
- Careers - continue in employment, possibly at a supervisory level
