This course will develop your acting and theatre skills, your creative and devising skills and your written skills through the study of professional theatre work.
What will I do?
take part in performance technique classes
create and perform your own theatre pieces before public audiences
learn professional standards through theatre trips and visiting workshops
What do I need?
GCSE grade D in 1 subject and grade E in 2 subjects including English Language
theatre acting experience is an advantage but not essential
willingness to improve your written and research skills is important
to attend an audition where you will be asked to perform a prepared monologue, lasting 1-2 minutes
Where can it take me?
College – a Level 3 course in acting, dance or music
Employment – a junior position in the performing arts industry
Anything else?
You should be prepared to take part in performances and rehearsals outside normal college hours
