College Ambassadors

There are plenty of opportunities to take part in College life. You can offer your opinions, represent your fellow students and support teaching, public relations and college governance. You’ll have the chance to contribute to focus groups and feedback activities, and to sit on interview panels for staff.

Every year the College appoints a number of students to positions of responsibility. Each role has a slightly different focus, but all of the roles help students to

  • develop self-confidence
  • build good teamwork skills
  • feel a sense of satisfaction and reward
  • find out more about working in education

Ambassador Roles

As “the face and voice of the College” you’ll represent the College at events like Open Days and Welcome Days. You’ll give talks at school events, help with new students during enrolment and assist with College promotion by giving their views on student life.

Enthusiastic about modern technology, you’ll help staff to create new digital learning resources and provide practical support for staff and students.

Working with younger students, you’ll share their experiences about careers education and provide advice on the help available. They give guidance on researching higher education and the UCAS application process.

Keen to share ideas and opinions on enhancing equality and diversity, you’ll work with us to help maintain and improve opportunities at the College.

Student Governors

Nominated to a place on the College Corporation, you’ll take part in the continuous improvement of the College. They attend meetings and add a student viewpoint to decisions on the opportunities for education and training in Halesowen and the wider community.
