If you have a household income of less than £31,746 and/or are in receipt of an income based benefit, you may qualify for financial support.
Financial support is distributed to students on a needs basis but is always subject to funds being available.
The thresholds for support are as follows:
- BAND 1 (100% award) where household income is up to £21,430
- BAND 2 (75% award) where household income is £21,431 - £26,190
- BAND 3 (50% award) where household income is £26,191 - £31,746
All awards are dependent on you maintaining an acceptable level of attendance (minimum of 90%) in all of your classes. Attendance will be monitored regularly and, if it falls below an acceptable level, funding may be withdrawn.
Should you withdraw from your course you will be asked to repay any awards made to you or on your behalf.
Please note that it is your responsibility to contact the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) if necessary as financial support may affect your eligibility for some benefits.
