Why study this course?
This level 1 Access Award in Accounting Software gives you the opportunity to develop the key digital and administrative skills needed in accountancy and finance roles. It provides you with the perfect starting point for carrying out basic finance and administrative duties; using accounting software packages.
This course is perfectly suited to those of you who have minimal work experience in this industry, and are looking to return to education, or even if you are self employed and want to develop your accountancy skills for your own business.
It will provide you with the skills needed to work in a wide range of industries, upskill for your current role, or advance to further AAT qualifications.
Course content
This course will introduce you to the main features of accounting software and explain the benefits and risks of its use. Some of the areas you will study include;
- Understanding the benefits and risks of using accounting software,
- Setting up accounts
- Recording bank and cash transactions
- Producing reports using accounting software.
Entry requirements
AAT does not set any prerequisites for the study of this qualification. However, the ability to communicate information clearly and appropriately to a given audience is a valuable skill in any role and any type of business, and it will support students in studying this qualification. For the best chance of success, we recommend that students begin their AAT studies with a good standard of English and maths.
