Why study this course?
The qualifications provide a basic introduction to the core concepts associated with British Values, extremism, radicalisation and the basic principles of keeping safe from the risk of radicalisation including online.
This qualification is aimed at a range of learners who are thinking of working in a school setting including: young people, mature learners, learners with special educational needs or where English is an additional language.
The knowledge and understanding developed through undertaking the programme of learning should support further study.
We offer a range of progression courses including Preparing to Work in Schools Level 1, Safeguarding in a Learning Environment Level 1, and Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning.
Course content
There is one mandatory unit which covers:
Democracy, rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance, extremism and keeping safe from radicalisation.
To achieve this qualification, you will be assessed through an externally set and marked online multiple-choice exam.
