Why study this course?
Individuals who are passionate about supporting learners to achieve personal goals and develop independence skills and would like to work in the growing area of SEND within Post 16. The Level 3 qualifications are appropriate for those wishing to gain experience of the role or who have learning support as part of their existing responsibilities.
Course content
The Level 3 Award for Learning Support Practitioners introduced learners to the principles of learning support. This six-week qualification provides 6 credits and can be followed immediately by the Level 3 Certificate. Assessment is based on a portfolio of evidence.

Entry requirements
There are no specific entry requirements, although learners are required to complete a BKSB Initial Maths and English Assessment. All Learning Support Practitioners should have or be developing skills in English and maths at Level 2.
