Why study this course?
Over the pandemic many businesses have restructured, and this has allowed some employees to progress into management roles. In a bid to support new managers, in a challenging commercial climate, Halesowen College has partnered with Fircroft College, specialists in residential adult education, to devise an initial management training programme supported and funded by the West Midlands Combined Authority.
Course content
Our offer address 3 key areas for new and aspiring managers:
These are skills that new managers often lack when they first step up. They also underpin and enable organisational innovation and change.
At the heart of the programme is a work-based project, specific to the individual learner and their job role. The Programme will involve a mixture of face-to-face teaching, online delivery, a residential weekend and online support with a specialist, dependent on the nature of the individual delegates workplace project.
This will give new managers the key skills they need to make a positive difference.

Must be an employed manager (any industry)
Must be able to commit to the full length of the residential stay.
Access to a computer for online lessons and use within a classroom setting.
