Why study this course? 

Spread over 4 weeks of 2-hour sessions, in a specialist room, learn how to make a basic A’ Line skirt.  Sample aspects such as bag pockets and feature zips before making patterns suited to your size and making the skirt.

Course content

This beginner’s course will help you develop skills in the following:

-Sewing skills and techniques

-Pattern cutting and construction

-Construction of garments

-Repairing garments/ upcycling

-Setting and repair of zips

Entry requirements

Ideally you will have sewn before, but also happy to work with virgin sewers!

Materials

Included is the fabric, zip and thread for the samples, you will need to purchase the fabric, zip and thread to make your final skirt.  You won’t need this until week 3.

Pattern sizes range from 6 to 18.
