Health and Social Care Level 2 Apprenticeship
About this course
This one year apprenticeship is ideal for you if you want to make a career in caring for other people as a Healthcare Assistant or a Healthcare Support Worker in the Healthcare Sector.
It is essential that you should have a caring, compassionate nature, be discreet and conscientious and have a desire to improve the day to day lives of people in need.
You will spend one day per week in College working towards the Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care and four days per week working in a care setting. You will also be required to complete a workbook on Employer Rights & Responsibilities and demonstrate Personal Learning & Thinking Skills throughout the Apprenticeship.
What will I learn?
- 5 GCSE passes at grade A - C, or their equivalent, ideally to include Maths and English Language
All applicants will be interviewed and assessed for their suitability for this apprenticeship.
How will I be assessed?
Your practical skills will be assessed in the workplace on a regular basis by visiting College assessors.Your knowledge will be assessed through assignment work set by your College tutors.
