About this course
Economics is the study of how we can best allocate our scarce resources (land, labour, capital and entrepreneurship) to satisfy unlimited wants of society. Put another way, how can we better solve society's needs with what we have?
What will I learn?
The course provides you with a range of skills and tools to analyse given problems and produce viable solutions. During the course you will be studying unemployment, inflation, gross domestic product, economic growth, exchange rates and international trade in the macro unit. Also, we will explore demand and supply, elasticities and externalities in the micro unit.
How will I be assessed?
The course is assessed by written exams.
What do I need?
- 5 GCSEs at Grade A*-C including English and Maths at grade 4 (grade C)
In certain circumstances we will accept variations to this entry guide and create a personalised programme.
