AAT Accounting Level 2

This qualification will run alongside two other A Levels of your choice.

AAT has replaced our A Level Accounting option, and it will not affect your other A Level choices.

AAT is a practical Accounting course and finance qualification that gives students the skills needed by employers. Combining AAT with two A Level subjects is an ideal way to kickstart your entry into the accounts profession or furhter study within the area.

In year one you will complete the Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting, which introduces the basics of Accountancy.

In year two you will complete the Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accountancy. Once Level 3 is completed you will recieved UCAS points that compare to those recieved for A Level Accounting and is recognised by Universities.

How will I be assessed?

The course is assessed by examinations.

What do I need?

You will need to have GCSEs with 2 grade 6s and 3 grade 5s including Maths. Retaking GCSE English as part of your programme is required if you do not have grade 4.

Where can it take me?

For those that may be interested in pursuing a career within the accountancy sector, AAT is an internationally recognised accountancy qualification, and employers recognise this as an excellent route into accountancy related employment. AAT provides real world skills in accountancy, and this is attractive to employers.

Students can enter careers in industry and practice. Gaining AAT Level two and Level three can lead into further professional practice.
