The course is split into 2 years where you will study 17 units.
Year 1 requires you to sit 2 exams and 6 coursework units that are built into projects. Your main focus for this year will be computer engineering where you will learn how to work with and troubleshoot IT faults, as well as learning all that you need to know about hardware, software and computer networks. You will also complete a module on social media and digital marketing along with learning and designing applications for the internet and mobile devices.
Year 2 requires you to sit 2 exams and 7 coursework units, again these are built into projects. The main focus on this year is around games development, Virtual Reality and project management. You will also learn about cloud based systems and cyber security which aims to make you work ready for the rapidly changing digital market upon finishing the course.
By the end of the course you will be familiar with a wide range of topics including being a competent programmer, IT technician and cloud specialist, plus much more!

Coursework assessment that will be built up of practical sessions, demonstrations, presentations, games expo plus much more! You’ll be asked to develop and showcase all of your academic and personal skills across the course so there’s something for everyone.
You will need to achieve at least 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 and above including English.
