  • How will I be assessed?

    There will be a range of learning and assessment styles (e.g lecturers/workshops/group work as well as independent study and you will be encouraged to become reflective practitioners throughout your studies

    In year 2 you will expected to complete a counselling placement which will enable us to assess your ability to work ethically and professionally in the Counselling field

    Example modes of assessments include: written assignments, presentations, case studies, reflective portfolio entries, reflective journals, seminars, independent studies, counselling placement , self-evaluation/needs analysis, evaluations, literature critiques.

    • English Language “C/4” or above
    • Enhanced DBS
    • Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills/Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Theory

    Part time course 2 evenings per week

    Students are allocated a personal tutor who supports with study and you will meet with regularly for tutorials

    Students will experience lecturers/workshops/group work as well as independent study

    To be able to provide evidence of GCSE grade C or above in English Language
