The nature of this level of counselling involves a high degree of self-awareness and personal development. It is important that you consider that you may not be ready for this course if you have undergone any significant life change or loss in the last 12 months.
The Diploma in Counselling is an appropriate qualification for a wide variety of professionals, from teachers to nurses and managers. It is also ideal if you are considering a career change or simply want to become more self-aware.
An aim of the course is to provide you with professional training in counselling, which will enable you to gain both a sound theoretical framework and the practitioner skills required to work safely and effectively as a counsellor.
Readiness for placement will be need to be approved by tutors and course leader.
There will be continual assessment throughout the qualification. Year 2 is not a natural progression and achieving the qualification is not automatic after enrolling.

A loan for £2,882 of the fee is available, subject to suitability. If the loan is approved the amount left to pay will be £1,416.
