This qualification is designed to equip you with the knowledge, understanding and skills required for success in current and future employment. It will enable you to meet changing circumstances, whether arising from a change in your own sphere of employment, promotion to supervisory or management roles or from general changes in business practices and the business environment.

The HND qualification follows on from successful completion of the Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Business, building and extending upon your business knowledge.

Delivery

Full Time and Part Time available for 2023 entry:

  • Students attend College two days a week and participate in a range of activities, including lectures, workshops, group work, presentations and practical activities
  • Students are encouraged to use a range of resources, including books and journals from the Learning Resource Centre on Campus, as well as online materials.

Assessment

The course is 100% coursework assessed. This consists of management reports; presentations; board papers and numerical analysis.

Entry requirements

It is anticipated that applicants have achieved the Level 4 Higher National Certificate. 

  • 48 UCAS points
  • GCSE grades A* to C in English Language and Mathsand either:
  • a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma qualification – PPP
  • or, two or more A Levels (at least one of which should be in an essay based subject).
  • or, Access to Higher Education award.

Mature learners may present a more varied profile of achievement that is likely to include extensive work experience and/or achievement of a range of professional qualifications in their work sector.
