About this course
This is a re-sit course, specifically tailored towards those that have already achieved a grade D in GCSE Science/Biology but would like to achieve a grade C.
You can use this re-sit course to gain entry to Higher Education courses that are asking for you to have a GCSE in Science.
Topics you will study include Human Biology, Health and Fitness, Diseases and Vaccinations, Genetics, Environmental Science and Food Production.
You will also have a 3 week induction period to assess if GCSE Biology is an appropriate route for you

How will I be assessed?
There are 2 exams: Paper 1 and Paper 2, which are 1 hour and 45 minutes each. These will include multiple choice, structured, closed short answer and open response questions.
What do I need?
Grade D in GCSE Science or GCSE Biology
Please contact us directly for advice if you did not sit GCSE Science or GCSE Biology.
What is required for the first class?
It is advised that you invest in a GCSE Biology AQA revision book to help with your revision. These are available for long term loan in the Block 5 LRC.
You must also complete the induction exam which is on the third week to successfully carry on with the GCSE Biology re-sit course.
