Digital – Support & Services (T Level)

This T Level pathway in Digital Business Services is equivalent to three A Levels.  It will lead you in to a variety of careers and will give you the knowledge, experience and skills required to progress in to a range of careers.  The course has been designed in collaboration with employers and uses a mixture of classroom and work-based learning to give you the technical skills and workplace experience to lead you in to a digital career.

You will complete a core technical qualification and digital specialism, and an industry placement of at least 315 hours.  These areas could include software development project, digital business, data and digital analysis, digital environments, emerging technology and security.

All students will develop a general understanding of digital:

  • how digital technologies impact business and market environment
  • the ethical and moral implications of digital technology
  • using data in software design
  • using digital technologies to analyse and solve problems
  • digital environments, including physical, virtual and cloud environments
  • legal and regulatory obligations relating to digital technologies
  • the privacy and confidentiality of personal data
  • the technical, physical and human aspects of internet security
  • planning digital projects
  • testing software, hardware and data
  • digital tools for project management and collaboration

They will also learn about topics specific to digital support services, including:

  • roles within the digital support services sector
  • communication in digital support services
  • fault analysis and problem resolution

You will then specialise in one of the following areas:

  • Digital infrastructure
  • Network cabling
  • Digital support

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through a number of exams and project work throughout the programme. You will need to complete all elements to achieve the overall T Level.

5 GCSEs at grade 9-4 (including English and maths)
