Award winner Megan

NEWS

Halesowen College student Megan Lewis has been named as one of only four winners of a prestigious education award.

Megan has won The Brian May Access to Higher Education Award for her commitment to study. She has overcome the odds to complete her Access to HE course at College and move on to study Biological Science BSc at the University of Worcester.

Megan has showed resilience, enthusiasm and dedication throughout her year at College despite concerns about her health.  This is a prestigious award for all Access to HE Learners in the West Midlands presented by Open College Network West Midlands.

Hilary Garner, Head of Division for Access to HE at Halesowen College, said: “Her commitment to study has been outstanding, despite the many health and other challenges she has faced this year.

“She has 100% attendance and has been a committed and hard working student.”
