College achieves staff Thrive award

Halesowen College has achieved the Foundation Award for the Thrive at Work Programme which recognises its commitment to the health and wellbeing of its staff.

The programme is designed to recognise organisations who create healthier and happier workforces.

The College has introduced yoga sessions, well being days, staff training and support.

The Thrive at Work programme is funded by the Mental Health and Productivity Programme (MHPP) and focuses on employee wellbeing and promoting healthy lifestyles.

Jacquie Carman, Halesowen College Principal and Chief Executive said: “We are delighted to have achieved the Foundation Award for Thrive that recognises the commitment we have given to the staff at Halesowen College to improve their wellbeing and health when at work.

“We will continue to work together with staff and Thrive to further improve wellbeing as part of our new HR Strategy.”
