Former drama student performs at College

NEWS

Former Halesowen College drama student Nic Lawton came back to College to perform a show with her theatre company.

Artistic Directors Nic and Ezre Holland formed Expial Atrocious and came back to Halesowen to perform `Butchered’ to drama students. They performed the show at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival, receiving rave reviews and now it on a UK tour.

Nic studied performing arts at Halesowen College before completing an Integrated Masters in Touring Theatre at the University of Worcester. The play is about two people stuck in a job and dreaming of something different with social and political messages.

Nic said: “I wouldn’t be where I am today without the incredible support, resources and drama staff at Halesowen College.”

Ross Nicholls, Course Leader for A Level Drama at Halesowen College, said: “Nic was an amazing student, hard working and passionate and it’s great to see her being so successful. We all wish her well in her future productions and in her wonderful career.”

Nic studied Drama and Theatre, Media and Musical Theatre at Halesowen College.
