NEWS

Halesowen College has announced its innovative Graduate Teaching Programme which is set to start in September 2025.
The TEACH (Teach Everyone with Ambition and Care) programme has been designed to develop the next generation of inspiring teachers whilst allowing them to establish and maintain strong connections with industry.
This unique two-year scheme offers ambitious graduates the opportunity to launch their career in teaching. Successful applicants will benefit from a two-year fixed-term contract as a graduate lecturer, employed by Halesowen College and the opportunity to achieve the Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher Apprenticeship.
Participants will divide their working week between teaching, studying and gaining experience in an industrial placement.
The college is particularly seeking graduates in Maths, Science, Health and Social Care, Catering and Travel and Tourism. Applicants must hold or be on track to achieve at least a 2:1 in a relevant degree; have gained their degree or be expecting to graduate in the current academic year and have GCSE English Language and Mathematics at grade 4 or above (or recognised equivalents).
Jacquie Carman, Principal and Chief Executive at Halesowen College, “Halesowen College is committed to fostering the ambitions of students and staff. The TEACH programme will provide graduates with the tools, training and experience they need to thrive in a teaching career, while ensuring they retain real-world industry knowledge to enrich their teaching practice.”
