Mentoring programme success

NEWS

A level students at Halesowen College have been partnered with University students as part of a special mentoring programme.

CoachBright organised the scheme which matched College students with students from the University of Plymouth to help build their confidence and independence.

They also got to learn all about university life and future courses. Jo Wolf and Lauren Clatworthy from CoachBright came to the College for a special graduation ceremony.

The ceremony celebrated the success of College students and pupils from Queen Mary’s Grammar School who were also involved in the mentoring scheme.

Emma Rickard, from the College’s Careers Department, said: “All our students really enjoyed being part of the scheme and it really helped them with their confidence, decisions on future courses and career opportunities.”
