Michael talks Oxford success

Former Halesowen College student Michael-Akolade Ayodeji has returned to College to talk about his time at Oxford University and being the Oxford Union President.

Michael-Akolade studied a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford and now is the Oxford Union President.

He studied A Level Politics, Philosophy and History at Halesowen College and came back to speak to students about his journey.

Michael-Akolade spoke about his time at the top university and gave lots of advice to students. He talked about how staff at College had helped him fulfil his potential.

Rob Hand, A Level Head of Year at Halesowen College, said: “It was great seeing Michael return to College to speak to our A level students. They were really engaged by his story he has given them the inspiration to consider their next steps.

“I’m incredibly proud of Michael’s achievements and it should be an inspiration to all learners as no matter what the challenge, everyone can succeed.”
