SkateHut board design winner

Halesowen College student Wiktoria Juszczak has shown her creative flair by winning a competition to design a skateboard deck.

The competition, in partnership with SkateHut, Halesowen, was open to all College students who had to design their own art images for a skateboard.

Wiktoria came first in the competition with Ellie Niclasen in second place and Emily Dunn in third place. The 17-year-old studies A Level Psychology and Sociology as well as a Level Three Diploma in Criminology at College.

Wiktoria’s design is on display in SkateHut for a limited time.

Jamie Morgan-Green, Community and Engagement Manager at Halesowen College, said: “Congratulations to Wiktoria as well as Ellie and Emily. We had a range of fantastic designs and I know it was a difficult choice.”

Dell Blundell, SkateHut Operations Director, added: “It has been great working with the staff and students on this art project. When we had to decide a winner it caused a fair bit of debate. Congratulations to Wiktoria and all the other students for their incredible work.”

Wiktoria is from Oldbury and is a former student of Oldbury Academy.
