Designed for learners who want to build on their digital knowledge, it focuses on practical skills for work, life, and further learning – all in a supportive, hands-on environment.

Course Content

You’ll deepen your understanding and gain more confidence across five key areas:

  • Using devices and handling information – managing files efficiently and keeping your tech up to date
  • Creating and editing digital content – working with documents, spreadsheets, and images for different purposes
  • Communicating online – choosing the right tools for different situations and audiences
  • Transacting securely – using online services safely and comparing options like a pro
  • Staying safe and responsible online – protecting your data, managing your digital footprint, and understanding your rights

You will get hands-on experience with everyday tools and apps, with plenty of real-world practice to help you feel confident and capable.

Entry Requirements

Learners must be aged 16 and over.

Ideal for those who have completed Entry 3 or already have basic digital skills

Materials Required

A laptop, desktop, or tablet with internet access

Basic word processing and spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Docs/Sheets).
