Why study this course?
The Access to HE Science (Distance) course is extremely useful for students wishing to pursue a career in any Science and some Health fields.

The course provides a pathway onto a variety of Higher Education degree courses at different universities or HNC/ HND in Halesowen College. Students have access to a wide range of science degrees at excellent universities, including: Radiography, Physiotherapy, Biomedical Science (Birmingham City University), Nutrition and Dietetics (Coventry University), Marine Biology Biodiversity (Swansea University), Nursing and Physiotherapy (Wolverhampton University).
Course content
The course includes a range of different modules designed to give the students relevant skills and knowledge required to progress onto a chosen degree course. Along with the three main modules (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) students will also work on their Study Techniques.
Entry requirements
Applicants require a GCSE grade C/4 in English Language.
It is desirable to also have GCSE grade C/ 4 in Maths and a Science, you can study one of these alongside your Access Diploma, as you will need it for your degree qualification.
Materials
You must have access to a laptop or PC to access the online learning platform, produce your assignments and create PowerPoint presentations.
Start date
This programme has a rolling start – students can enrol at the beginning of each month as this distance learning course.
