Hairdressing Level 2 Apprenticeship
About this course
If you have a genuine interest in all aspects of Hairdressing and excellent communication skills this 1 year Apprenticeship will allow you to gain the knowledge and skills required to have a successful career in the Hairdressing industry.
You will attend the Shenstone House campus for 1 day a week to work towards NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing, while working in a commercial salon for the other 4 days a week. You will also be required to complete a workbook on Employer Rights & Responsibilities and demonstrate Personal Learning & Thinking Skills throughout the Apprenticeship.
How will I be assessed?
Your practical skills and knowledge will be assessed both at College and the workplace by observation, questioning and assignment work.
What do I need?
- 5 GCSE passes at grade A - C, or their equivalent, ideally to include Maths and English Language
All applicants will be interviewed and assessed for their suitability for this apprenticeship.

You need to be in employment. College staff may be able to help you but you will probably need to apply for vacancies on the National Apprenticeship Online Vacancy website.
