Biology - GCSE - Part time

This is a re-sit course, specifically tailored towards those that have already achieved a grade D in GCSE Science/Biology but would like to achieve a grade C. You can use this re-sit course to gain entry to Higher Education courses that are asking for you to have a GCSE in Science. Topics you will study include Human Biology, Health and Fitness, Diseases and Vaccinations, Genetics, Environmental Science and Food Production. You will also have a 3 week induction period to assess if GCSE Biology is an appropriate route for you.

Course starts Thursday September 12th 2019 at Whittingham Road campus

How will I be assessed?

There are 2 exams; Paper 1 and Paper 2, which are 1 hour and 45 minutes each. These will include multiple choice, structured, closed short answer and open response questions

What do I need?

Grade D in GCSE Science or GCSE Biology.

What is required for the first class?

It is advised that you invest in a GCSE Biology AQA revision book to help with your revision. These are available for long term loan in the block 5 LRC. You must also complete the induction exam which is on the third week to successfully carry on with the GCSE Biology re-sit course.
