Apprenticeship - Business & Professional Administration - Level 4

Around 3.2 million people help to keep businesses running in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.

Administrators needs a broad range of skills to work efficiently and help increase business productivity. There are skills shortages in this sector and these skills are covered with this apprenticeship framework. Higher apprentices will work in roles such as personal assistants, business development executives and specialist or general administrators.

They will have responsibility for improving business administration processes and team efficiency, monitoring risk and evaluating the success of change as well as day to day administrative duties. They will liaise with stakeholders of all levels across the organisation.

This apprenticeship is a great way to further master these skills and develop more responsibility and autonomy.

How will I be assessed?

Your knowledge and practical skills will be assessed both at College and in the workplace throughout your Apprenticeship, as well as in the End Point Assessment.

  • Significant experience in a business role; or
  • Level 3 Diploma or Apprenticeship in a relevant subject (eg, Business, Finance or IT); or
  • A Levels
  • plus GCSE grade A*-C in English Language and Maths
