Creative Digital Media Practice Level 3

If you are a creative student, who is interested in a career in the Television and Film industry, this course will enable you to gain a strong understanding of the varied skills you will require. Creative Digital Media covers a range of subjects within the media industry, from Advertisement Production & Marketing, TV and Social Media campaigns, to all aspects of Film Production.

It will enable you to express and develop your creative ideas, investigate the Television and Film industries and learn how to analyse and deconstruct media products. Throughout the course you will write and produce your own short films, TV show and adverts, which will help you develop your practical, analytical, research and communication skills.

There will be industry experience incorporated into the course in a professional context, where you will work towards client briefs to develop your academic and creative skills. A range of practical and written assignments will enable you to develop strong communication skills and explore professional industry practices, by creating production work in our TV studio and Mac editing suites.

How will I be assessed?

The course will be assessed through a combination of coursework and externally set examinations.

You will also be assessed through industry based tasks.

What do I need?

You will need to have achieved at least 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 and above, including English.

Retaking GCSE Maths as part of your programme is required if you do not have Grade 4.

Where can it take me?

You can progress to an exciting range of higher level courses, including Creative Media Production HNC/D.

AN APPRENTICESHIP COULD ALSO BE CONSIDERED. 

This course is ideal if you are considering a career in the Film and Media industries, particularly in production roles.
