The role of a customer service practitioner is to deliver high quality products and services to the customers of their organisation. Customer interactions may cover a wide range of situations and can include; face-to-face, telephone, post, email, text and social media. Customer Service Practitioners have a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in all sectors.
On completion, you would gain knowledge within the following areas: Knowing your customers, Understanding the organisation, meeting regulations and legislation, systems and resources, Your role and responsibility, customer experience and product and service knowledge.
The Skills that are built on include: Interpersonal skills, communication, Influencing Skills, Personal Organisation and Dealing with customer conflict.
The Behaviours that are developed include: Developing self, Being open to feedback, Team working, Equality and Presentation.
Completion of this apprenticeship will lead to eligibility to join the Institute of Customer Service as an Individual member at Professional level.

Duration: 12 months
An apprenticeship is a real job, with hands-on experience, a salary and the chance to train while you work. You would be treated just like all the other employees, with a contract of employment, holiday leave and employee benefits. You would receive support from a dedicated assessor who regularly visits apprentices in the workplace.
