An Infrastructure Technician provides support to internal and external customers, helping them to be productive when using technology to do their own jobs, by using tools to problem solve and trouble shoot non routine problems.
On completion, some of the knowledge and skills you would gain would include understanding maintenance processes, relevant numerical skills, how to operate remotely, business IT skills, Business Processes, and disaster recovery.
Some of the skills and behaviours that would be expected to be demonstrated include logical and creative thinking skills, analytical and problem solving skills, use of own initiative, a thorough and organised approach, ability to communicate effectively and maintaining productive and professional working environment.
This apprenticeship is recognised for entry onto the register of IT technicians confirming SFIA level 3 professional competence and those completing the apprenticeship are eligible to apply for registration.

Duration: 12 months
An apprenticeship is a real job, with hands-on experience, a salary and the chance to train while you work.
