As a musician, you are effectively a self-employed specialist who can turn their hand to multiple income streams at once, leaving you with the prospect of doing something you love for a living!

This course offers a chance for you to develop skills, experience and knowledge for any number of career pathways, while developing important transferable skills that are invaluable in any industry.

You will take part in numerous external shows, including our acclaimed Mayfly Festival, and you will benefit from the experience of staff who are both seasoned professionals and trained teachers.

You will also have access to our specialist equipment, including 6 Rehearsal Pods, 3 Music Studios, 2 Mac Suites and miles of jack leads! We practice what we preach!

How will I be assessed?

The course is assessed through a combination of performance and coursework.

What do I need?

You will need to have achieved at least 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 and above, including English.

Retaking GCSE Maths as part of your programme is required if you do not have Grade 4.

You will be expected to attend a live audition, and experience of playing an instrument is vital.

Where can it take me?

You could progress to a range of higher level and professional qualifications. 

This course is ideal if you are interested in a career as a Freelance Performer, Music Teacher, Freelance Songwriter/Arranger, Music Technician, Music Promoter or Events Organiser.
