The course assessment is based on two key units per year. Across the course there are two externally assessed exams; in Year1 ‘Investigating Practitioners’ is assessed through a research essay completed in controlled exam conditions and in Year2 ‘Group Performance Workshop’ is assessed through a live video performance and written log book. The other two units are internally assessed through practical performance showcases, practical class work and written coursework.

A GCSE/Vocational qualification in a Performing Arts subject would be useful and you are required to attend a live audition.
Theatre visits and professional workshops take place throughout the course.
This course should be combined with A Levels.
Good combinations include Drama & Theatre Studies and Music.
