During the course you will learn the basic skills needed in the patisserie world, working with cakes, chocolate, sugar and understanding the working world in Hospitality.
You will also study for your Food Safety and Health & Safety qualifications. /p>
You will also be taught how to produce pastry and fermented goods to allow you to branch into Bakery if desired.
Assessment consists of a portfolio built up over the year with photographic evidences, as well as short answer skills and synoptic tests. /p>
You will need to have achieved at least 4 GCSEs at Grade 3 and above, including English and Maths.
You will undertake a 1week work experience in a suitable establishment. /p>
