Professional Patisserie and Confectionery - Level 3

During the course you will gain the skills necessary to work within the Patisserie world. Learn how to make high class desserts and decorative pieces as well as gaining your full food safety qualification. Some units include, exploring gastronomy, producing petits fours, and pastry products.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment consists of a portfolio built up over the year with photographic evidences as well as short answer skills and synoptic tests.

What do I need?

You will need to have achieved at least a Pass at Level 2 Professional Patisserie & Confectionery.

Retaking GCSE English and Maths as part of your programme is required if you do not have a Grade 4.

Where can it take me?

  • College Progression - you can progress to the Level 3 Advanced Professional Cookery course or a range of exciting higher level and professional qualifications.
  • University Progression - related degrees including Baking Technology Management and Bakery Science.
  • Emplyment - This course is ideal if you are interested in a career in Hospitality, working as a Patisserie Chef, Baker or self-employment.

Additional information

You will undertake a 1 week work experience in a suitable establishment.
