During the course you will gain the skills necessary to work within the Patisserie world. Learn how to make high class desserts and decorative pieces as well as gaining your full food safety qualification. Some units include, exploring gastronomy, producing petits fours, and pastry products.
Assessment consists of a portfolio built up over the year with photographic evidences as well as short answer skills and synoptic tests.
You will need to have achieved at least a Pass at Level 2 Professional Patisserie & Confectionery.
Retaking GCSE English and Maths as part of your programme is required if you do not have a Grade 4.
You will undertake a 1 week work experience in a suitable establishment.
