Apprenticeship - STL Supporting Teaching & Learning - Level 2

This 15 month Apprenticeship is ideal for you if you want to work with children and help them learn within a classroom setting. You will learn the essential knowledge associated with a childâ??s intellectual development and the skills required to assist learning. You will need to be well presented, confident and have a sound knowledge of English Language and Maths.

During your Apprenticeship, you will work towards a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning and you will be visited in the workplace by a College assessor who will guide and assess your developing skills. You will also complete workbooks for Employment Rights & Responsibilities and Personal Learning & Thinking Skills.

You will also work to further improve your skills in English and Maths over the course of your Apprenticeship.

How will I be assessed?

Your knowledge and practical skills will be assessed both at College and in the workplace throughout your Apprenticeship, as well as in the End Point Assessment.

What do I need?

You will need at least 4 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above including English Language, Maths and ICT. In addition you will need to secure a job with an employer.

Where can it take me?

College Progression - you can progress to a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
