During the first year of this course you will focus on Computer Engineering, where you will learn how to work with and troubleshoot IT faults, as well as learning about hardware, software and computer networks. You will complete a module on Social Media and Digital Marketing along with learning and designing applications for the Internet and mobile devices.
The second year will be focussed on Games Development, Virtual Reality and Project Management. You will learn about Cloud based systems and cyber security which aims to make you work ready for the rapidly changing digital market.
By the end of the course, you will be familiar with a wide range of topics and become a competent Programmer, IT Technician and Cloud Specialist, plus much more!
The course is assessed through a combination of exams and coursework.
The coursework will be made up of practical sessions and may be built into projects, allowing you to develop and showcase all your academic and personal skills.
You will need to have achieved at least 5 GCSEs – 2 at Grade 4 and above, and 3 at Grade 5, including English and Maths.
You can progress to an exciting range of higher level courses, including HNC/D Computing and degrees in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Games Development and many more.
