Children's Play, Learning & Development Level 3
About this course
This course has proven to be an excellent progression route to higher education and employment in the early years sector.
Over the two years you will gain experience working with children from birth to 8 years in nursery and school settings. This will support you in gaining an understanding of practice in different settings.
You will attend taught classes, where you will study a variety of topics that focus on child development and children’s learning activities.
What will I learn?
We will explore topics such as Working with Children with Additional Needs, Safeguarding and Child Protection, Religion, Play, Diet and Nutrition.
You will also learn how to support learning in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT.
What do I need?
You will need to achieve at least 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above English and Science.
Where can it take me?
- Halesowen College - Early Years Foundation Degree, Learning Support Foundation Degree, HNC/D in Health & Social Care or choose from a range of HNC/D and professional qualifications
- University - related degree in Education or Teacher Training
