Children's Play, Learning & Development BTEC Level 3
About this course
This course has proven to be an excellent progression route to higher education and employment in the early years sector.
Over the two years you will gain experience working with children from birth to 8 years in nursery and school settings. This will support you in gaining an understanding of practice in different settings.
You will attend taught classes, where you will study a variety of topics that focus on child development and children's learning activities.
What will I learn?
We will explore topics such as Working with Children with Additional Needs, Safeguarding and Child Protection, Religion, Play, Diet and Nutrition.
You will also learn how to support learning in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT.
What do I need?
- 5 GCSEs at Grade A*-C including English and Maths at grade 4 (grade C)
- Science at grade C
In certain circumstances we will accept variations to this entry guide and create a personalised programme.
