About this course
If you are you interested in a career in Health or Social Care, this could be the course for you!
As part of the course you will undertake units related to the field of Health & Social Care, allowing you to progress into a variety of careers or higher education.
You will be required to undertake a placement one day a week to gain valuable hands-on experience of careers within these sectors.
What will I learn?
Over the two years you will study exciting subjects including Supporting Individuals with Additional Needs, Human Lifespan Development and Working in Health and Social Care and a wide range of essential units to enable you to develop the skills and qualities to become an outstanding Health & Social Care Professional.
As part of your course you will complete an extended work placement one day a week with a local employer over the two years.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is by coursework and 2 exams in Years 1 and 2.
What do I need?
You will need to achieve at least 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above including English.
Alternative Requirement: a BTEC in Science may be considered at Distinction or Merit Level.
