Whether you want to go to university or straight into employment, our friendly, award-winning careers staff are committed to helping you get on the right career path.
The Careers and Higher Education Centre stocks a library of reference books, careers software and computers to help you with your research.
We hold the the Quality in Careers Standard, Quality Award CEIAG and have won the Gold award three times. When you visit you can be assured of a warm welcome and expert advice, helping you to explore all the options available, including some you may never even have thought of.
Help with Higher Education
We have copies of every higher education and university prospectus in the UK and qualified advisers are on-hand to help you complete application forms and your CV. We also organise an annual Higher Education Fair so, if you are considering university, this is an ideal opportunity to discuss courses with visiting university representatives.
Over 900 Halesowen College students progress to university each year and the number is growing. We have progression agreements with a number of local universities, which help learners by providing guarantees of routes, interviews, places and sometimes bursaries.
Your personal coach and our careers staff will give you all the support you will need to complete the university application process.

Higher Education Fair
Building on our position as UK 2nd for progression, the HE Fair is open to all our students.
With representatives from 40 institutions, including all of the local universities, University College of Football and Girton College, Cambridge, there is something for everyone.
Help with Employment
Our annual Jobs Fair will help you to look for jobs with training. The Jobs Fair was held for the first time in 2005 and each year many students obtain employment as a result.
