Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship Level 3
About this course
This new 18 - 24 month Level 3 Accounts Apprenticeship is ideal for you if you enjoy working with numbers and have an interest in the commercial world. You will also need to be a good communicator and be able to work under pressure.
You will be employed as an Assistant Accountant, working in the employer’s premises for four days per week and attending College for one day per week during term time to work towards the L3 Diploma offered by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT). Your practical skills will be guided and assessed in the workplace by a College assessor who will visit you regularly.
You will also work to improve your skills in English and Maths over the course of your Apprenticeship.
How will I be assessed?
Units of study that make up the AAT qualification are assessed by on line tests. Your assessor will prepare you over the course of the apprenticeship for the End Point Assessment which will involve a one to one interview and a 3 hour test.
What do I need?
You will need at least 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above including English Language and Maths. If you have already achieved AAT Level 2 you may receive credit for some knowledge components of this Level 3 Apprenticeship.
Where can it take me?
College Progression - you can progress to the AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting.
This course demands a substantial amount of independent study.
