Into Employment Programmes

CPC Training Consultants, part of Halesowen College are working with the DWP and WMCA to place individuals into real jobs via Sector Based Work Academy Programmes (SWAPs). In partnership with local employers, they quip adult learners with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in today’s competitive market. Students gain practical experience and develop industry specific skills that are highly sought after by employers.

Our experienced trainers work with employers to develop tailored training plans that cover all aspects of the jobs, from essential skills to specialised industry-specific knowledge. We currently work with employers from the following sectors:

Customer Service

Logistics and Warehousing

Each SWAP lasts up to six weeks and has three main components:

Pre-employment training matched to the employer’s business needs
Work experience placement to learn new skills on the job and gain valuable qualifications for the future
At the end of the programme, learners are guaranteed a job interview with an employer or help with the application process

Having a warm and friendly fun way of training really helped us as a group to feel more comfortable in participating and learning new skills. I have learned skills I have not learnt before such as critical thinking skills, first aid, clinical terms and can now remember and recite the phonetical alphabet.
