The AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting Level 3 is the intermediate level of the AAT Accounting Qualification. It offers technical training in accounting and its main purpose is to provide students with specialist knowledge and skills to gain employment in an accounting role and/or the opportunity to progress to further qualification in accountancy or a related field.

During the AAT Advanced Diploma, you will master more complex financial processes, including VAT for businesses, management accounting costing techniques, advanced spreadsheet skills, and preparing final accounts. You will also learn about professional ethics.

Entry into this stage is either AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting, Accounting level 2, GCE A Level in If you have no formal qualification, entry will be based on relevant work experience, subject to an interview with the course tutor. Students must need to have good prior knowledge of double entry before progressing on to this course. If necessary, you may be asked to do diagnostic assessment so that appropriate additional support may be arrange for you.

It is essential that you have a good level of English and Maths skills. (We require students to have at least 5 GCSEs grade C (5) or above, including English language and Maths.)
