Animal Care

If you are interested in working with animals, our animal care courses will offer you excellent, hands-on experience. You’ll learn in exceptional, specialist facilities providing housing for exotic animals, birds, amphibians and reptiles, as well as domestic small animals.

We’ll help you get work placements and you’ll benefit from guest speakers and visits to animal sanctuaries, kennels, stables and zoos to consolidate your knowledge.

Dog Grooming Level 3

This is a Level 3 qualification and provides you with the skills and knowledge to work as a Professional Dog Groomer in the animal care industry.

Level: 3

Study mode: Full time

Dog Grooming Level 2

This course includes the City and Guilds Level 2 Dog Grooming Assistant Certificate as well as SEG Employability level 1 and SEG Progression level 1 which focus on theory and practical skills for this industry as well as additional qualifications to support employment after the course.

Animal Management T Level

The T Level in Animal Care offers a unique blend of formal education and practical industry experience.

Animal Management Level 3

Halesowen college has an outstanding, industry leading animal care unit with a variety of exotic mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles, as well as domestic small animals. We also have access to HappyPaws@B63 our exemplary dog grooming salon.

Animal Care Level 2

If you are interested in working with a variety of animals, then this course will give you relevant hands-on experience. We provide excellent Animal Care education in specialist facilities providing housing for exotic mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles, as well as domestic small animals.
