We focus on developing skills in speaking and listening, reading and writing across 5 main areas – Travel, Retail, Education, Healthcare and Digital, allowing learners to develop their English language skills in order to advocate for themselves and their families in day to day life.
Alongside English you will also study maths, which is assessed separately and offered from Entry level 1 to GCSE Higher Tier.
You will also study a vocation and digital courses to enhance your employment opportunities.
You will leave the course with a personal statement and CV to help you seek employment that matches your skills.

When you apply you will be asked to attend an initial assessment , which will determine the correct level for you to work at.
The course will be assessed via ongoing teacher observation to ensure that you successfully meet the criteria in each of the 5 areas above.
If you demonstrate sufficient skill and commitment to study you will be entered for exams, which take place three times a year – December, March and July.
This course will equip you with the language skills to seek employment and contribute actively to your community.
Successful completion of the course will allow you to progress onto Level 1 or employment.
