Our Culinary Arts Management qualification is an excellent choice for individuals who aspire to pursue a rewarding career in the culinary industry. The course combines theory with fundamental practical knowledge in a variety of hospitality disciplines.
The course provides comprehensive culinary training, business and management knowledge (this knowledge is invaluable or those who aim to excel in leadership roles within the culinary industry), career advancement (with management skills, they can take on supervisory roles, open their own restaurants, or pursue careers in food and beverage management), diverse career opportunities (from working in restaurants and hotels to catering, event planning, and food production), entrepreneurship (this qualification provides the skills and knowledge needed to start and manage a successful culinary business) and much more.
HNC (Level 4) one year and progress onto HND (Level 5) one year

Unit 2: Managing the Customer Experience
Unit 3: Professional Identity and Practice
Unit 4: The Hospitality Business Toolkit
Unit 5: Leadership and Management for Service Industries (Pearson-set)
How many days do I need to be at College?
Full Time: two days per week (To be confirmed – this may also include evenings)
What support do I receive?

Online Moodle virtual learning environment for access to learning resources
A range of resources, including books and journals from the Learning Resource Centre on Campus, as well as online learning materials
In class delivery involving lectures, practicals, seminars, group discussion and independent research
Assignment work throughout the programme which may be assessed through practical assessments, seminars, presentations, dissertation and written assignments.
32 UCAS points
GCSE grades A* to C (4 or above) in Maths and English Language.
A Level 3 qualification in Patisserie and Confectionery, Professional Cookery or a similar Catering/Cookery qualification
or
Mature learners may present a more varied profile of achievement that is likely to include extensive work experience and/or achievement of a range of professional qualifications within the catering industry.
