The Foundation Learning (Special educational needs and disability) Team has many years experience of successfully supporting students with (SEND) to gain a variety of qualifications.
We have a range of programmes designed to cater or a wide range of students. Each full time programme is aimed to give a learning experience appropriate to their needs and to support their appropriate progression.
They are designed to provide our learners with the opportunities to develop their skills to enable them to transition into independent living and to actively contribute to their own communities or to act as a stepping stone into further education pathways.
A Supported Internship is an unpaid structured programme offered and supported by Halesowen College. It is designed to enable people aged 16-24 with learning difficulties and/or disabilities to move into sustainable employment.
What is the aim of the internship?
Please note: the Supported Internship programme at Halesowen College is an internal progression route for current students with an EHCP who are working towards paid employment. Referrals are made through internal review and transition planning rather than open application.
